Very hard decision to make based on reviews. But I went with the "CX" model for the savings. Picture quality was the same on both with the "C1" having a better web o.s. So they say! You be the judge.

no major differences between the two, in 12 months, you won't really regret the purchase to the CX, I bought a refurburbished model from MicroCenter with only 30 hours on it for $1,000 and I am happy

Anyone know if the 48" is eligible for the 10% back if the Prime credit card is used? The 55" C1 is listed on the offer page, [amazon.com] but the discount notice remains up if you change sizes.

On Costco's website [costco.com], the details say it's only good for TVs purchased at Costco, but nothing stopping you from buying their 3yr plan for TVs over 1000 for $99. Whether or not you can link (or use) the plan at the allstate portal to a TV you purchased elsewhere remains to be seen.

They changed it then. It used to explicitly apply to tv's purchased anywhere.

Grabbed an open box geek squad certified from bb. They gave me 10% off when I offered to buy a 5 year warranty. Working awesome as a PC monitor. $1200 plus $250 for the 5 year warranty.

$50 more than Costco's deal but includes burn in protection
