If you're wondering about Midway, don't. It's a terribly boring movie with very little story or character development. Tons of heroes involved, but none of them feel heroic. Pass on this telling of Midway.
Gone girl is a very good film but it's one of those films you watch only once.
Really couldn't disagree more. I found it to be a great movie. It's a Hollywood retelling of events with some pacing issues, but to say it's terribly boring is hyperbole.

I can easily tell the difference between HD and 4K streaming on my 65" 4K TV. Clearly more detail resolution and sharpness. Enough with this argument that human eyes can't perceive it etc.
I'm not disagreeing...if you sit close enough to your TV to notice. I would argue that most people wouldn't notice the resolution in a blind test sitting at the distance they normally sit from their display, though.

Remember 4k is more than resolution, the HDR benefit is just as important and makes a huge difference to me.
I was watching the horrible new Conjuring movie and my HBO Max was not switching on HDR automatically.
Once I turned on the Dolby Vision it was like watching an entirely new presentation.

I sit at a normal distance in my living room, probably 10-12 feet or so (not currently there).

Vudu looks to be matching most of these.

In a test of TVs side-by-side, however...

Outside of a store, you probably won't watch TV side-by-side, but just knowing what I'm missing from the side-by-side test was enough for me to pull the trigger. Let me put it another way: given the same movie, I'm excited to watch on an OLED screen, but, on a regular screen, I might not care to watch it. Call it snobbery, call it whatever. But OLEDs are the pros in their category, and there's a reason piles of people turn out to watch the NBA and not the local pick up game.
