I think you misunderstand the purpose of this tire inflator. When you are in the middle of nowhere, you can pump air if you got a flat tire. It saved me a couple time when I have flat tire, I can fill the tire with enough air to get my tire fixed without changing to a spare tire.
He just fills up plastic bags with the free walmart air before he goes on long trips.
Exactly. More for emergencies and convenience. I keep a compressor in every car because you'll be so happy you did if you ever need it. Same story for a spare quart of oil and jumper cables

I hear you. I carry a quart of oil, tire inflator, a jump start battery pack, a pint of transmission fluid, and a pint of power steering fluid in my Tesla S. I haven't used any of it but it is nice to have as a reminder.

Hillyarious

I need something to inflate my kid's portable pool. I have an actual air compressor, but its at my friends house who lives an hour away. Loaned it to him a few weeks ago thinking "Im not going to need it anytime soon". I'd rather wait till he's done using it before I take it back.

How good is this for blowing up inflatables? Or are they much better options? TIA

I think you'd have to run this from a car cigarette lighter (12v DC). I think they would be a limitation in use? Unless you have that power source nearby the pool.

bought one of these last time on sale. have used it plenty of times to top off car tires that lost some pressure over time. again, for the price, you cannot beat it. it does the job that it is supposed to do. I don't think anyone should complain about this product when the price point is $10-12.

Shcrader valve! I'm in. Too bad it's up to 50 psi, so good for trek bikes and not for road bikes.

If you have a road bike you probably want a presta valve, not a Schrader valve

There are little adapters that screw onto presta that allow you to use a Schrader valve pump on a presta valve.

For example:

I know. One of them came with my Audew. The point is that if you don't want to get caught with a pump but no adapter (lost forgotten or otherwise), buy something else because this will require an adapter.

I purchased this before and it's pretty good. I like the fact that it has a detectable cord. That makes it easier to store. I just purchased a second one for the other car.

I have had these in my Tesla's since they don't have spares. At this price its a no brainer. My wife recently got a long bolt in her tire. Tow service was 2+ hours. I used this to fill the tire up with enough air to get me to a tire shop in less than 30 mins. Huge time saver if you can use it for a instance like mine.

TU for quart of oil. I need to buy that for my car.
Does the oil have an expiration date?

Wouldn't that kill the tire tho?
