Using it for over a year, Really improved signal!! Absolutely zero problems with connectivity, which was a constant problem with the last Wi-Fi adapter. Extremely pleased!!!

tl;dr - overpriced and outdated.

For those technically inclined, it is a much better solution to just get an old AC router and turn it into an wireless bridge. You get substantially stronger signal (the whole router and its antennas versus a small USB stick), the ability to connect four devices with ethernet ports, and all the usual accoutrements which come with a router.

I ebayed the one which I have been using for this task for at least the past seven years here (they come even cheaper if you look harder than I did):

Mine is connected to my old PS3 and mi Mi Box to give them modern Wifi.

Any of the more recent mesh wifi solutions (like the Deco M9) will also give you an ethernet bridge for a similar price or even less when you split up the three pack.

+1 ... Woot has become the Harbor Freight of Big Lots of Amazon lol.

Also, mesh systems are getting better and better. Soon, I see no one even using these single router systems anymore (except perhaps niche needs, or gamers... but most hardcore gamers are connected directly to modem. )

Wifi tech is moving really fast now. I seen one router the other day that made me ask "Did it pass the Turing Test?" 😆
