Venmo is terrible. I signed up but it won't allow me to pay for purchase, such as Uber. I called/emailed and no one knows why and can't help me. It just said the system blocked me but didn't know why and asked me to use different payment methods.

a waste of time. it's still advertising as if there are available rewards. i signed up and didn't receive any $10. i've never had a previous venmo account. i will be canceling the account immediately.

update: it took 2 weeks before i got the $10. no longer a waste of time lol

Same here. Venmo treat the money you have with them as if it's theirs and they are giving you permission on how/when you use it. Very shady company. I'd stay away or keep very low balances with them at the very least.
