The long handles do well, but the loop handles can get pretty hot when using higher temps. These pans are very efficient with heat so I find it does not need as much to get the same results from our prior less quality pans.

I know this is old and expired, but the biggest difference other than than the handles being better on the Cuisinart is the All Clad is US made and Cuisinart is Chinese made.
