This smoker never goes on sale. Here's the best deal I've seen on it in a couple months of looking for a bargain. It has an enormous community and multiple online forums for this smoker. You pay full price but Home Depot is throwing in the $50 iGrill Mini so you can monitor your meatzess, precious.

I will admit that I don't understand why these things are so damned expensive. I bought a previous model of the 18" WSM from Amazon 15 years ago for $199. That was a good but not extraordinary price. And I recognize that the current model is somewhat improved (slightly) from the previous model, but really? The triple ship of the desert shows that these routinely $300 until early 2019. And they have been on sale for $200 in late 2015 or so. It's not like there's a lot of research costs to be recouped, so why are the prices so high?

(I love my WSM, don't get me wrong!)

Your last line is why. There's about 100 knock offs, but they all have air leaks or moisture problems or crappy components or something else wrong with them.

Then there is the support community behind it. This smoker is basically the gold standard. It's also required equipment for various competitions. I'm just getting into this, so I'm not an expert, but I definitely don't want to settle for the junk knock offs.

I bit. Was tired of waiting anymore. Gonna buy a giant brisket for when the thing gets delivered.

Good luck with getting that giant brisket to fit. While this is a great deal for an 18.5 WSM, I regret not getting the 22.5.

I'll be good w/ it. Saw at a friend's the size of this particular model. Will be fine. All the stuff from the local farm will fit.

This looks like the Weber Bullet I've used for 8-9 years in the past. Only used it for ribs, mind you, but it held up pretty well.
BBQ sauce + Honey + Sriracha = great-tasting ribs! Smilie

Thinking that the included Igrill "Mini" would add an additional 40$ value (give or take) to this deal, however it only uses one probe. Maybe if the thermometer is returnable in some way...? I already have a few of the Maverick wireless dual probe sets.

If they sell it anywhere in store, just take it back without a receipt and you'll get store credit. Home Depot and Lowe's are super easy going on things like that.
