is this meant for suv's that already have enough clearance? And will it raise the car high enough to be able to throw a jack stand under lift points.. say under a car like honda civic.

At this price I can just throw this in the trunk. Way better than the shitty scissor jack that's included with the spare tire.

Yea, the 6 ton is a better option for these Asian made jacks.... I bought two of these 2 ton jacks in plastic carry cases for $8 each from a Lowes deal to put behind truck seats, but swapped them out for 6 tons.

I couldn't agree with your statement more...

JACK STANDS ARE LIFESAVERS! When i was about 17 years old, I had a jack stand underneath, and i jacked up the car on the wrong part (this is completely, and utterly MY fault).

Well the fender i was hanging it on failed, and the car fell over, and got crushed by the jack I had laying around. LUCKILY with about a 1in gap, the jackstand caught it. It was a dumb mistake I'll never make again (I was halfway slid under the car as it failed).
