I haven't played this game, but this is fairly standard now where the "front" buttons are used for special abilities and powers and triggers/bumpers are main attack/parry. Blend of FPS and RPG style with a controller. Is there a reason why you don't like that?
It made my index finger cramp up after a little while, mostly. Adding that to having to learn a new button to attack was a deal breaker.
Before this, i purchased and beat AC Origins, my first AC game. I loved it so much that i bought Immortals on both systems thinking it would be similar. AC let me change the button configuration to my liking.
I can't check out with the switch digital version in my cart.

Same. I played it on Stadia, the demo. Not too bad, the jokes were not as bad the reviews stated. The puzzles were okay. I might get a PS5 ver just to play around with it a bit, when and if hits ~15.
Isn't the switch version gimped on fps and 720p compared to ps4 or xbone?
You tell me.... Where the gimp is? I think its very comparible. At the end of the day the art/style negates everything but lighting/shadows and a few improved graphical textures. https://youtu.be/UrVA9FBP4g4

Double the FPS is kind of a big deal. The Switch version doesn't look bad, but let's not pretend.
I'm digital-only Xbox. I was looking for a new game when this launched and almost pulled the trigger, but Ubisoft games tend to drop in price pretty quickly, and it sure did. I'm still not 100% sure I'll buy it (with MS Rewards credits), but if a digital version with DLC bundled goes under $20 at some point, that'll be tempting.
This game was ok. I put a little over 20 hours into it and then lost interest (I actually lost interest several hours before that) and traded it in. It's not a bad game. Just not super entertaining.
