Home Depot, Amazon, Sportsman's Warehouse, BBQGuys, and more are doing this deal right now so it's likely sponsored by the company. The pro 780 can come with a bronze lid or a black lid. Both are on sale.

This seems like an awful price.

traegers don't go on sale very often. When they do the price doesn't come down that much. The other time of year they'll go on sale is Black Friday and they might be $200 off.

^^^ this

I've been waiting 6+ months for a sale. $100 off isn't much, but it's still a free grill cover and a couple bags of pellets.

Plus the higher end ones go on sale far less often.

I'm sure Traeger is a good brand, but I'd look for a reverse flow smoker, and probably for a good deal less.

Fair enough, but Traeger's quality/performance just doesn't match the price anymore.

Can anyone comment on what the differences between the models are? Mainly just size? Also it mentions a lot of electronic things (app) — does this need an outlet?
