YMMV

Just snagged one. Looks like a good deal for a budget 1080p gaming desktop. $200 less than new (when in stock @ Walmart, which is rare) I'd recommend adding it to your wish list and checking back often. It goes OOS quickly when available, but they do restock.

Mixed reviews. Some have reported receiving like-new systems, but others have complained about overall quality or receiving the incorrect graphics card.

How often is it going in and out of stock? Any way to get alerts?

cirial, I've seen it come back in stock as much as twice in one day. I didn't see any way to set up in-stock alerts.

MusicShark, not sure who did the refurb. If I had to guess, they may be returns that are cleaned, and tested. The computer came in a brown box, wrapped in plenty of bubble wrap. It included a new keyboard and mouse. The one I received looks brand new and came with 3200Mhz ram.

It's running great so far. Planning to add a 1TB SSD and a 16GB ram kit. These computers can be very picky about the memory you choose. I've been told that Crucial DDR4 Model # CT8G4DFS832A is officially supported, should boot right up.

Yeah, that's really annoying. I've been in need of an upgrade for a couple years now, but I'm not willing to spend $1500+ for what should be a $1000 (or less) system right now. Unfortunately my old computer just died, and I had decided that I would just go for something that would be a minimal upgrade for short money (like this deal) and get by until prices become less insane and buy my future gaming PC then...that way I'll end up with both for the price of just one and I'll use the PC from this deal for my office when the time comes...BUT then it turns out this price isn't even real. So frustrating.

yesterday night it showed 2 in stock for me from vipoutlet for $495, but today oos at $399. I wasn't really going to buy this.
So, this was not a real deal? is the stock inventory not real? well maybe deals like this will be back all summer and fall.

I bought one at $499. It's for my 1st grader to play simple games and do school work. The CPU and GPU alone are almost $500 in this stupid market. I would love to build a cheap rig but with low tier GPUs running 300 +bucks, its not worth it. I'd be in well over $500 to get this setup, even with a bunch of SSDs and memory sitting around.

Wish I had snagged a few extra GPUs last Winter when I built my oldest kids computer.
