Tide Simply (at least the Free & Sensitive version) is *NOT* marked with HE, but the Tide web page says it can be used with HE washers https://tide.com/en-us/shop/type/...-sensitive.

A reply from Tide to one of the reviews on the above page says "It may be helpful to know that the difference between our regular Tide and Tide Simply is that the Simply won't have the added stain fighters that are present in regular Tide. However, it should still get you a good overall clean."

Good price overall but just an FYI that CR rates Tide Simply very poorly. In general, you're usually better off buying the regular Tide or Tide Oxy as well as Persil (which are all highly rated).

EDIT - just to give everyone an idea of the CR scoring, the 4 best detergents scored in the 80s... Tide Ultra Stain Release and Persil ProClean Stain Fighter both scored the highest at 84. Tide Simply Clean & Fresh scored a 38 overall. Xtra (Plus OxiClean), for example, the cheap detergent you can buy at the dollar store, scored a 37. This is still a good deal at this price, so not knocking the deal... just advising that Tide Simply is just not even on the same level as the better Tides and Persil detergents. As an FYI - Costco's Kirkland (that goes on sale often) scored a 76 and CR gave it a Best Buy. If you're looking for the best deal for high quality detergent, it's probably going to be Costco's Kirkland Signature.
I have a year's worth of detergent but i still want this. What's wrong with me

Paired with the coupon, this is the cheapest I've ever seen tide. Even if it is the lower tier stuff

I'll have to double check but I'm pretty sure I bought some of these on a deal a while back and the scent is terrible. Smells like industrial carpet cleaner.

There's an unscented version. However, CR says this doesn't clean well. (ratings on Walgreens site seem fine.)
I've used the Tide Free & Gentle - it cleans fine - although my clothes don't get anywhere near as dirty as kids' clothes do.

I bought the unscented Tide Simply; will see how it goes. 1.90 after coupon, summer20 discount, and tax added.

I don't buy any of the orange lid (Simply line) Tide after CR and Wirecutter gave them terrible ratings.

this is the "cheap" tide, nowhere near as powerful as the orange bottle version, requires double the amount or more depending on how soiled the items are, not really saving any money when you have to use 2x the amount
