I am glad these are out (microcenter brand basically) and seem to run quickly (dram-lifespan etc???) but the price is def not awesome (in the current climate it is ok), yet again there's mention of dram and overall memory-storage price fixing (remember a few years back that craziness?) So, you might not find a speed difference (watch linus tech tips on this suibject on youtube).

If Samsung doesn't even put this monstrosity of a heat sink on their 980 pro line, why is this necessary? Do people just copy Bluray remuxes back and forth on their pcie ssds?

I got the Inland platinum 4TB 3D QLC PCIe 3.0 x4 for a buddy, and hot damn it is notably faster than the WD Black SN750 2TB in both AS-SSD and Crystal Disk Mark in my testing. I wasn't able to do the real world benchmarks but it's still a legit option. Endurance may be an option for some, but not for most.
