It's kind of like Hollow Knight in some ways. It's an isometric action game with faster combat than HK. There is a ton of customization available with different weapons, bonuses and routes. Lots of replayability (that's kind of the idea) but it's executed really well. Similar level of difficulty overall (it's a hard game to master). Less about exploring, more about combat and then there's the interaction with NPCs that acts as the narrative (characters are excellent). Overall it's an amazing game and I would pay full price or more easily for it.

I played it on Switch and had no issues. It technically runs better on PC but if you've never actually played it on PC you probably won't be able to tell the difference. The only reason I can tell that the switch is a bit lower FPS (and occasionally has some FPS drops due to some crazy fights) is because I've watched videos of people playing on PC, but it didn't impact my experience.

This is by far the best game released in recent memory and right up there with Hollow Knight.

No other game packs in Story, Dialogue, Voice Acting, Combat, Music, and Replayability like Hades does.

Non-stop twists, turns and surprises make this a no-brainer at this price.

Oh yea for sure! Each escape adds more to the story progression with something pretty major occurring at 10 escapes. After that, I have experienced a lot of the "side missions" wrapping up and additional story being added to relationships. I think there is another major story occurrence that happens but I haven't hit it yet. Enjoy!

I enjoyed this game quite a bit. It took me 28 tries to get my first clear, but I've now cleared it twice with each weapon in 50 total tries. Once you understand the boon mechanics better it becomes much easier. I plan on going back at some point to max out every weapon aspect.

Incredible game where its basis sounds draining and drastic (start over every time) but its so well done with so much variety that it feels brand new almost all the way through. Also, I don't recall really any times where the switch couldn't keep up with the aggregations.

lol spend a lot of time on each weapon and u'll see the best way to use them. Dash a lot. And just keep playing haha. Sometimes when you get the right combo of boons, it is so satisfying.

Like downtoride said, dashing a lot is definitely very helpful.
As for getting aspects, I don't know when they actually trigger, but each of the 6 come from different characters, so it likely has something to do with your relationship level (how many nectar's you have given them) and how many times you have cleared with a weapon type.
There is also at least one more major story event, and tons of upgrades and a number of nice items that add tremendously to the gameplay.

This is probably most like Hyrule Warriors. It's a roguelike, so you have a lot of action in very tense bursts. It's a stress test with some randomized trial and error. That being said - it's much better than Hyrule Warriors.
