Seems like a new normal price according to WEN's website. Does anyone know if the bag filters out 5micron particles?

This appears to be Home Depot's regular price. No indication on the product page that it's marked down. How is this slick?

Anyone comment on how well this holds up using smaller diameter piping and using cyclone separation? Is the motor overbuilt or will it burn out after a couple weeks of 5-6 hr use per day?

For just $50 more, I think you would be better served by the Harbor Freight 2hp dust collector. Would have better cfm and there is a lot of after market options for improvement.

Problem with that is those aren't shipping until October.

I have been looking at these dust collectors for two months, Comparable models cost near $300. The Grizzley model went up $30, the Rikon model went up $50, and the Wen model went down $23. I think the Wen might be better than the Harbor Freight, notice the cheap plastic intake and exhaust ports on the HF model. Also no two year warranty at HF. This deal is so slick, it slipped past you!

The Wen has the same type of plastic outlet. It looks like the entire inlet side of the Wen is molded plastic where the inlet side of the HF 2hp is metal with a plastic Y. The inlet of the Wen is 4" and the inlet of the HF 2hp is 6" with a Y to two 4".
"Comparable models" is subjective as Wen is not know to be at the quality of Jet, Grizzly, etc. Neither is Harbor Freight of course but like I said, $50 buys you a lot more.

Edit: Harbor Freight's 1hp dust collector is $155, cheaper than the Wen.

Read the the Question and Answer part on the Home Depot web site. According to people answering the questions, the WEN IS ALL METAL. Recently Harbor Freight has replaced their dust collectors with cheaper models. I looked at them, I do not want one. The dust collector pictured on the HF web page is not the same as the store display unit.

Not true. Same price at Amazon. Hasn't been on there long according to the three camels, but price hasn't changed.

Amazon never had this dust collector. NOT IN STOCK EVER. See the zero reviews. Like I said, I have been shopping this for two months. When Amazon sees a competitor advertising a good deal, they always pull that trick.

A 7a motor and a 9" impellor will be almost useless. The HF is junk, but rather better than this.
