I had mine arrive that way (without any additional box) about a week or so ago, so it's not false.
Mark it as a gift and it'll be packed in a separate box.

Frustration-free is a misnomer, it just means Amazon doesn't bother to put it in anything before shipping. If you care about the box, use Walmart.

This is absolutely false with Lego. Frustration-free Lego's ship in a factory Lego box that is the exact size of the retail Lego box itself. It is by far the best way to receive Lego in the best condition.

Walmart puts a sticker straight on the box as well almost every time in my experience.

Nope. Had two Saturn V's sent from amazon with a sticker slapped on the retail box. I called specifically asking the second box to be in a shipping box. Still just a postage sticker slapped on the retail box.

Regardless of licensing, My personal PPP (price per piece) is $0.06 for it to be a deal but I've stretched that to $0.08 if I really want the set. Lego City is notorious for being more expensive so $0.10 PPP is reasonable.

I'm pretty sure that's not what he meant. Licensed = e.g. Harry Potter, Star Wars, Super Mario, Disney, etc

Not always true. It sometimes means it comes in the extra LEGO box that LEGO ships big sets in, which is awesome.

About as awesome as this set. Even as an adult I really loved the details and 'play' features. Hugely suggest getting the set for everyones' brats, I mean children.
