I own a pair and bought another. I have bad knees and this helps quite a bit. I use it a lot for yard work and they've gotten a fair amount of use. Kneeling in rocks, dirt, etc.
The straps are wide and despite that, they will slide and I have to adjust them occasionally. I would prefer a better design with straps that go on both sides of the knee but for this price, well worth it. So I bought another.
They're well padded but doesn't prevent your knees from shifting side to side. Ridgid has a knee stabilizing model but it's oos right now, I would have bought that if it was available.
What's up with all these bad jokes in poor taste in every knee pad thread? You guys ever do anything? There's a million reasons to wear these things. Tiling, Flooring, Masonry, Concrete, Cleaning, Roofing, etc etc. You guys making the terrible homophobic jokes ever do any of that? At least write a new joke. What's the punch line? That gay people exist? That's messed up. This is 2021 and you fools are making half-bit homophobic jokes that would get you kicked off any open mic in 1983. And the "my wife" jokes, holy cow fellas, just impress your wife every now and then. Heck. Maybe get a pair of these and go fix somethin. The ladies love it when you're handy. The love you take is the love you make. Alright that's it. Just don't see why we need all this homophobia and misogyny. Yeah I can take a joke, but you fools aren't even making one.
You won't find better kneepads for $12 btw. Maybe not for $30 either.
I just wrap a pillow with duct tape to my knee and save $13

1 decent pillow can cost 6$. So 12 for 2. And it probably wouldn't be as effective as a dedicated knee pad. And you shouldn't want to use the same pillow you use for a dirty job to put your head on.
He does not have a brain. His head can go to places.

I actually use these when working on cars. Gotta save the back

Gotta be sarcasm.
Anyways, foam pads are a good quick fix for jobs where you have to kneel for short periods of time. But putting them on and then having to move around a bunch isn't so great because the straps are always the shortcoming and the pads often don't have enough padding for long kneeling.
My tip does involve duct tape and was inspired by a duct taped recliner my roommate in college made. I collect large amounts of leftover foam from jobs and packaging and then bind it together into a 5x9 pad of some kind with duct tape. It swells up to about 3" thickness into a mini duct tape pillow that I can throw down and kneel on. They slide well and keep up with the knee and with a pair it's easy and quick to throw them down and have padding wherever you need it.

I don't see any homophobic jokes. Maybe some jokes in poor taste about women, but no need to oversell it.
