Body Glove Cruiser Duet SUP $799.99 at Amazon

Found and purchased this two person inflatable SUP two weeks ago. These go for $1499 on the Body Glove site. I didn't think I was actually going to get it. Took it out last weekend, and really enjoyed it.

This can be used both stand up or kayak style. I've only done kayak style on it so far. Takes some coordination with your partner to get around, but we were able to cruise pretty well. More importantly, we enjoyed our time on the water together.

Comes with:
  • Carry bag
  • Dual action pump
  • Two detachable kayak seats
  • Two convertable paddles (stand up or kayak style)
  • Dry bag for phone
  • Patch kit
Only caveat is that ours did not come with the pretty carry bag pictured. It did come with a carry bag, it just wasn't branded. Also, SUP enthusiasts may not like that the main fin is not very deep, and does not detach. We had no maneuverability issues on a windy day on large lake.

You chose well as Body Glove isups are built like a tank. They are the only mfg to use triple stringers (perimeter beams for rigidity) to make them extremely stiff. I have two of their Performer 11' boards and they have been flawless. I had a hose leak with the pump (my fault), called Body Glove to inquire about purchasing a replacement and they sent me one no charge. I first got wind of their high build quality when talking to a guy who has their boards as rentals in So Cal. He sold off his hard boards (too expensive to repair, too many people getting wacked in waves) and has been using the Body Glove boards for 2 years and no problems. I also have a (expensive) Red Paddle board and it's a excellent board, but at twice the price, I'll take BG over it unless you want a more racing style. Costco has the Performer 11' at $399 making it a best buy for sure. Buddy has a Bote isup and the seat (Aero Deus) split at seam and Bote does not stock them. He's not happy.

You're right, Costco has one a bit smaller for $400: https://www.costco.com/body-glove...66358.html

For those familiar with SUPS, Is $400 a good deal for this?
Also, what's the difference in terms of performance on this? My guess is smaller (narrower) make it less stable, and shorter is slower? I am about 5' 10" 170lbs. TIA!

Body Glove makes high quality boards and this Performer 11 is a excellent board at a great price. It's the same quality board as their outfitter series that rental companies use and very durable. I have two and really like them. I've paddled Red Paddle and Atoll and while both a very nice boards, I disliked the Red Paddle as you have to insert this 8' long plastic side rail (stringer) for support and if you are on a sandy beach or muddy area, it must be absolutely clean to get it into the tight side sleeve. Poor design IMO. That said, they are excellent paddlers, but more than twice the $ of the BG. Atoll I rented had a separation bubble on the deck and I would hate to have that happen if I owned it. Lots of isups to choose from, but I don't see anything better than the BG 11' at under $1000. Hala makes some fine boards as does NRS, but priced substantially higher. youtube has lots of reviews on the BG Performer 11.

Thank you! Repped... I'm not a BJ's member, went there to check it out. BJ's offers a free one-day trial that is not linked to credit card... just email. So I did the trial and ordered the board for $499. Will enjoy when camping on the lake this summer, and down on the Gulf this Fall! Your deal is much better than the OP's... you should post it! Might even end up on Front Page! Smilie
