This is NOT the MSRP, the MSRP according to dell home webpage is 1548. the discount is only through Dell Business.

No other coupons apply, so this is the price right now.

I can't believe ppl like you are on SD. Next thing, you gonna tell me the retail price on a 90 percent off sale is also the real MSRP.
It is overpriced but that is what Dell wants to sell it for. MSRP stands for Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price so they can set it to whatever they want. This specific laptop has not gone any lower in price other than when Dell was allowing coupons on Ryzen laptops.

May be you've come up with a new defination for MSRP and want to continue with it but that doesn't make it correct. And have you seen this laptop anywhere cheaper than this? It has been posted here only once before this at the full price of $1549.
Lets consider this is close to MSRP for a moment, what makes you think that MSRP prices are not deal if they're offering something not available or rarely available from others. SD has thousands of such examples.
Acer Swift 3 Ryzen edition, at its price of $679, MSRP, went to FP for atvleast 10 times. Asus Zephyrus G14 2021, at its MSRP of 1499 and 1449 USD, are still in FP. And you don't follow any deals or laptop price, you just come to other people's post to comment.

It has been a while since I saw a thread of SD which didnt have out of context, unuseful and misleading comments. The only surprise here is that max1001 guy is supposedly a SD veteran.

Veteran doesn't equates to reasonable poster in most of the times. However, Max101 does post a lot of sensible posts, at least in last couple of months. Not sure what happened here. This price is one of the cheapest for the Alienware m15 R5 edition and in fact one of the cheapest for any premium Ryzen 5000H + RTX 3060 laptop. The last one posted here is at $1346 which was updated to Popular deal with 35 + votes.
