The problem with the AC adapter is that there's no room for the wiring to fit when the device is attached to the door frame, because the Ring sits flush with whatever it's attached to. I used my dremel to cut out and size the ABS plastic to the backplate of the Ring Wired, then cut out a slot for the wire to stick out. The plastic sheet is the same size as the wire, about 1/8th", so it fits perfect. Then it's just a matter of adding a couple holes in the plastic to match the Ring, and then install to the door frame following the instructions. It matches the coloring of the Ring Wired pretty closely, holds strong, and you can't tell any work has been done to it from a glance.
