No, that requires the Sync Box (around $230) and for the strip itself, it's the more expensive strip that has gradients (this one is all one color)

Hue is still top of the line and works better than any of the other lights I've ever tried.

Yep. The value of hue is in the reliability. I've probably had a dozen brands of smart bulbs before coming to the conclusion that the premium is 100% worth it.
I would have to disagree a bit. I have Hue bulbs throughout my house and had their strips and they were good, but overpriced. Govee strips have been just as reliable for me and much cheaper with more control. I have several of them throughout my house and have had them for years. I direct people to Hue for bulbs but Govee for strips
the biggest complaint i have with Hue lightstrips are the colors don't get bright enough - I believe I have the 2nd gen ones.
