Battery life is not that great compared to other models but it is not bad either. This would somewhere fall in middle

Dang! I just bought another model that has 8gbs of ram instead of 16!
Fyi underneath it has a 100 dollar rebate option through MSI

Newegg lists this with 16Gb of LPDDR3, but that looks like a typo; it should be 16gb of LPDDR4, per Amazon [amazon.com].

It's a nice price for what it is. If I didn't have an Aero 15x, I'd definitely consider this.

Edit: MSI's own site [msi.com] lists this with LPDDR3.

Couple questions for those in the know:

1) gaming capable laptop or underpowered video card?

2) how's msi warranty?

3) is ram and nvme upgradable?

4) rebate a newegg gift card?

5) any chance Amazon will price match?

Super tempted to pick one up and upgrade my Surface Book. Great deal on an entry level gaming machine / midrange productivity machine!

I need a solid productivity laptop (no gaming). I do general online and office suite work, some light video editing, etc.
Is this laptop a good choice?
Anything better right now?

Gotta be a typo, no way ddr3 with a 10th gen Intel and Nvidia GTX and 4k screen

If you want something very light and portable with a 4k screen, I'm pretty sure you're not going to find anything this nice for under a grand. It's 2.84 lbs. This is a very slick deal. I'll stick with my Asus G14 because I do some gaming, but this Prestige looks really nice.

If you plan to game, the thermals on this laptop are bad.

hmm, pretty tempting, but touchscreen is sort of sweet to lean on when my hands and wrists ache due to ergonomics...
