What makes this better is 10% back when using Amazon Card. Basically tax free purchase in CA, which is hard to get on Dell products.

Haven't bought a new laptop in years and today the lid hinge snapped on my old Lenovo. So I pulled the trigger in this one. It's been so long I don't even recognize the options on these things anymore! I hope this one was a good value

Haters gonna hate but M1 MacBook Air is around the same price and has more performance, less energy consumption, better battery life, high res display ("3K" or thereabouts), no touchscreen though.
But it's not windows....

I think it's more akin to 2K, no?

It's not hate when you're not willing to switch eco systems just for a slightly better deal.

This is currently $1350 on Dell dot com. If you have Amex there is a deal for $120 off Dell purchases and if you use a certain cb site there's another 8% off.

So you can get it for around $1125. And it's been that price for a while.

I'm personally waiting for a Dell dot com sale to get it for under $1100.

I'm NOT an Apple guy, but yeah....

(our younger son is an Apple guy, so I try to at least keep an eye on these things)

Didn't notice this was a touch. Indeed a good deal.

Lucky dog. I'm currently typing on my oldest running laptop ever, which will be 4 in December, but has been giving me problems as of late. I've never had any other laptop last more than 18 months before this dell.

Macs are like having a right hand drive car in America. It looks cool, it feels cool, but for day-to-day driving, its a total pain in the ass.
