Yes, any gift card balance will be used first, and remainder charged to the default payment method (your Chase credit card). If the gift card balance fully covers the order, there isn't an issue.

Yes you can. Just make sure the CSR is still set as your default payment option. When you go to pay, you should still see the Dashpass benefits, but it will use your gift card credit first. I've been using gift cards for a long time with my CSR benefits and it works great. Never had any issues.
How so? My experience has been very positive. Super easy to get a hold of someone and they resolved the issue within a few minutes.

Thanks OP. Will buy max $150 for $143.50. I always buy when 10% and will prob burn through these in the summer to avoid the heat.

PS: Please tip your driver as you would your waiter/waitress. DD needs to change to allow the option t tip AFTER the delivery rather than when we place the order.

DD has about the worst customer service among all the delivery apps, which is hard to accomplish. Most restaurants also set higher prices due to their high fees. Not using it even with discounts.

Nice, I stacked this with the Chase Offers 10% back I have on my Chase debit card. I think it still applies even though it's for a gift card, right?
Chase cashback terms:
Quote :
Earn 10% back on all of your Best Buy purchases until a $35.00 back maximum is reached.

Visit the Best Buy Homepage to shop online or find a location near you.

Offer expires 7/29/2021. Payment must be made directly with the merchant. Offer not valid on third-party delivery services. Payment must be made on or before offer expiration date.

I have had multiple issues with restaurants rather then doordash/drivers and doordash always credited me above and beyond.

For someone who comes onto a site actively looking for deals - its odd to hear someone complain about "most."
Who cares that some raise it? We don't need a comment to know that things can be more expensive. Use it for the stuff that doesn't or bet yet - save it for discounts/deals. This doesn't need to be said on every delivery service app post.

In my experience, DD has the best customer service. Uber eats has the worst.

Anyone else having the following problem:

I get an email with a link to the gift card, asking me for my email address and order number. I enter it and I get the following response: "You have successfully authenticated and an email with a secure link will be sent to [my email address] providing access to your digital purchase."

Then I just get the same email again and repeating the process gets me into a never ending loop of "authenticating".

Really? I have had zero issues with their support and they always fixed my issue and compensated me greatly. DoorDash >>>

Uber on the other hand is impossible to get ahold of and they never offer refunds. Also, I've had way more issues with delays with Uber. I avoid Uber at all costs now.

OK, I guess I must have been unlucky with DD support. They always give me canned answers and never fixed the issue for me. Latest example is when I tried to order something from Safeway. The order got cancelled due to "unexpected issue encountered by dasher". When I chatted in to find out why, they could only repeat that same error without giving me any concrete answer. Also I used a promo code to place that order and it got lost with the cancellation. They were not able to re-issue that code either. Basically they are polite robots.

Sure, I agree, UE support could be worse because there isn't a chat option. But they do reply to requests via email and I always had issues resolved by them.

As to restaurants raising prices, the two restaurants that I order most often from here in Portland charge about 10% higher prices on DD than UE. So there is that.

Apparently it's YMMV when it comes to delivery services, which is why there are so many. I am glad that DD has worked well for those who replied and do appreciate your feedback.

Finally, I definitely do not work for any of these delivery companies. LOL.

I rarely have to contact DD for wrong item/late/missing items but when I do, they are quick to offer me credit against the item in question. That is the only DD customer service I have ever needed.
On the other hand where it's either the business raising the prices or being too slow is another issue. I get why business have higher prices versus directly purchasing with the restaurant. Margins are thin, cost is increasing and DD wants a slice.
Also another issue is slow drivers or lost drivers. I see them take funny routes when I watch their car icon on the app. There are too many moving parts and it only takes one aspect to ruin the whole experience. For me, it has been great over all.
