This is my first post so I am not sure what else to add.
This is a great deal on FIre safe delivered. Most places get you on the delivery. Now I believe it's just to your door or just inside the door but not moved in your home or office.
KEY PRODUCT DETAILS
The heavily built Bighorn B5529ECS is full of security features. The programable electronic lock has earned Underwriter's Laboratory (UL) certifications for security. The 340 lb. safe body is 14GA steel. Five 1" diameter door bolts (3 active and 2 dead) supported by anti-pry supports, secure the 4.25" thick door with a 1.5" thick door front. A smoothly operating rack and pinion drive system provides 1.75" of door bolt extension, almost 40% more than the typical safe. The extra thick door, anti-pry supports, and long door bolt extension combine for superior pry protection. The lock is protected by a hardened armor plate along with an internal relocker for added protection, designed to deadbolt the entire system if the lock is attacked.

Features:
30 Minute at 1400°F Fire Rating
External Dimensions: 55"H x 29"W x 20"D
Weight: 340 lbs
California Department of Justice Approved

I have this safe. To move it, take the door off, just open it halfway and slide it up the pins. Now, it's about 100lbs lighter. I moved this into my basement myself using a dolly.
Use a hula hoop to keep the balls contained. It can be like herding cats. Be careful on wood floors though because it can leave dents where they roll.

Or what works even better is a couple 18" sticks of 1 1/2" schedule 40 pipe to roll it around. On smooth floors like laminate or tile, a small rug under it will let it slide. But 340# is really not much at all.

Also, this is usually delivery to driveway or garage, but a little bit of a $ tip will get the delivery driver to give you a bit of a hand getting this closer to where you need it.
with safes generally the heavier the better, else its too easy for 2 guys and a hand truck to wheel it away and get it onto a truck.

I have a Bighorn from Costco and two other similarly sized safes (Canon and Fortress) from Tractor Supply. I got the other two during a couple of Tractor Supply's $299 Black Friday deals. The Bighorn has a nicer/smoother lock and handle mechanism, but overall it's not $200 nicer. My Bighorn also had a horrible chemical smell that lasted for at least a year, a problem not experienced with the others. If you can afford to wait for Black Friday, the Tractor Supply deal is the better bargain. I'll be picking up another this year. Yes these are really just security cabinets and any determined thief with a battery powered grinder is getting into it in about 5-10 minutes. However, all safes (except perhaps those costing $5k and up) are vulnerable to a prepared smash & grab thief. These still have value as part of an layered security system that includes cameras and alarms, etc. The point is to slow down a thief long enough to alert the authorities. I use multiple of these safes to further slow down potential thieves. The security of these safes can also be improved by securing them to the floor between walls. They are much harder to attack if a thief can't get to the sides or knock it down. We are building our home now and I'm designing an enclosure area for just for this purpose.

I actually have a little honeywell safe in my house (bedroom, that is easily visible) that only contains some loose change and 5 wrapped bricks. I'm hoping if I ever get broke into, they go after that. And I have 3 cameras that will let me know someone is in my house.

While what you're saying isn't incorrect, the fact of the matter is that most home invasions are crimes of opportunity and not thieves experienced with taking the time to break into a safe (that they can't easily carry away). It's a deterrent for the vast majority of people. If you're storing a high amount of valuables on one of these (let's say $100k+) then you're likely purchasing something more secure. If someone is breaking in with drills, angle grinders and reciprocating saws, then you've already been targeted.

That's a fair comment. For me personally, I worry if the safe just provides a target vs simply hiding valuables in a variety of locations (fire protection not withstanding)

Trick to moving safes, take off the door.

Trick to securing a safe, bolt that sucker to the wall studs and floor.

From my experience, if it's delivered by FEDEX or UPS you'll be lucky if they get it to door. YMMV.

Usually delivered by freight company, not UPS or Fed-Ex

I own this same safe that I bought years ago ... LOVE IT!!! The true gun guys will say "Oh thats crap it won't keep anyone out, buy better, Get a Liberty" or some crap.
For the standard guy with a few guns (about a dozen for me) this works great!!! Good protections, can be bolted to the ground, has spot for power to be ran it which I did cause I added ful LED lighting in it along with a Peet safe dehumidifier.

At this price this is a GREAT Safe ... one thing I liked that some may not is the depth is bit shallower than standard so when you have pistols and accessories in the door pouches you can't have stuff to close to the door like rifles etc. plus the shelves have to be lined perfect so the handguns and grips don't hit the shelves. But all this is easily worked out.

DO NOT Hesitate to buy this for security and fire protection as well, it's worked flawlessly (the keypad also) for about 7/8 years now.

Serious question - does everyone need one of these, or is this prepper tin foil stuff? I've been thinking about a safe and bullion, but feels too conspiracy-minded for me. Then again, the rich are building doomsday bunkers, so….
Prepper Tin Foil Stuff??? Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

It's a safe, you can store anything in a safe, some people who aren't gun nuts or I'm sure in your thoughts a "crazy conservative" own a few guns for protections cause you know that's actually a thing to protect your household.
This is big enough for those firearm items, shallow enough to not take up a ton of space in the area or room it goes in but still have options to secure all your items that you want to be safe above firearms like important papers (which you can put in a file folder or something and the fire rating will help keep those items intact) also jewelry, family heirlooms, pictures, etc. etc. etc.

Having a safe is just "keeping things safe" is all ... it's a tin foil conspiracy minded type of item WHATSOEVER!!! shake head

This is more security container than safe. What could I use this for? 30 minutes of fire protection isn't much, and I don't see who has certified the fire protection. UL? Only on the lock. That's sad.

So what is this good for? Keeping your kids from shooting themselves with your guns. Maybe, just maybe, it will provide a bit of fire protection too, in a fire that gets put out quickly.

But calling this a safe is abuse of language. A knowledgeable person with manual tools could probably get in in a minute or less, and the right battery operated power tools would get through far quicker.

But if you have actual valuables, go get a real safe. Something UL rated for more than just the lock. A TL15 will keep all but the real professionals out, and if real professionals are going after your stuff, you already know what you need.
