Thanks OP. Didn't bite yesterday when it was 30% or 40% off, so that worked out nicely. Was thinking about switching up our dogs' protein source again, so this was a nice chance to do that

Just got back from a vet visit. Best one in the Denver area. They indeed said grain free has been linked to heart issues.

Depends on the research you look at. If you ask a 100 people involved in the pet industry, the response will definitely be split.

Part of me used to be skeptical with some of the info that comes from vets because they may be funded by some of the dog food companies, but now most companies have regular and grain-free options, so that eliminated some of that paranoia.

Dog food has changed a lot over the last 15 years or so, especially the natural/grain free/ancestral market. I think the data set is finally getting large enough to the point where people can present some accurate info. I'm still in a wait and see mode, but one of my dogs has a grain sensitivity, so I stick to grain free without any issues yet

That study was done with just 24 dogs. More research needs to be done. I mix grainfree and non grain free.
