i got mine last year pre-pandemic for 900ish and still worth every penny
the colors, brightness, and curve, this is one amazing monitor

Well now I have 2 34' ultrawides coming to the house. My wife is gonna flip. I jumped on this earlier today and ordered an MSI MAG341CQ yesterday from amazon. This is better but even at this price still 2x as expensive. I paid $600 out the door after the student coupon. I'll probably end up keeping the alienware because I prefer IPS for the viewing angles and the warranty support from Dell is great.

The MSI MAG341CQ was open box from amazon warehouse but only $250 out the door (don't ask... deal is gone).

For reference, I sold my previous gen 34' alienware aw3418dw for $600 cash before I moved in early June. It was absolutely fantastic and I really regretted getting rid of it after the fact. Crazy to get a new one for that here.

I ordered around 200 EST. Said it will be delivered Monday the 28th. Got the email from AMEX almost immediately for the $120 refund. Looking forward to receiving. I've been using the same 27 inch ultrasharp for 15 years. It's like an old friend.
