I have a friend who lives over there. His house does not have a thermostat. The house has boiler and radiators. For AC, he uses split system for each room. Will they still allow him to order the Google Nest Thermostat for $1? (then ship it to me in another state, where I can actually use in my house)

I have a Nest on my account and enroll in their savings program. I've bought a few extra over the years and flipped them without issue, but again it might've made a difference that I already have an active Nest.
