Wow, $0.15 off. So glad to see this on the front page. With this savings I can finally afford the electricity it took to type this reply.
A decent price for a small container shipped, I guess, but baking soda is dirt cheap in bulk or in stores. Aldi has 16 oz for $0.50.
Uh, no. Baking soda reacts with another acid component in the batter or dough to produce an immediate gassing (rise) upon mixing. The typical retail baking powder is double acting and is composed of two major ingredients, one which activates quickly upon mixing and the other which is heat activated and gasses upon baking.

No. It's my understanding that each does something different in baking. One causes the spread and the other the rise.

Does this "deal" exist here as a way for people to reach a certain number of S&S items to get a larger discount? that is the only thing I can think of, just buy your baking soda at Aldi otherwise.

I don't know why I still browse the front page on this site. There is so much garbage like this on it.

I'm pretty sure they are the same thing, this is just my gut instinct though.
It's like that gorilla glue hairspray stuff practically the same I'm pretty sure... I think... why not 🤗
