Start by collecting what you're interested in first. It's really easy to go overboard really fast. Pay attention to the market but don't get caught up in all the FOMO on YouTube and stuff. This is how a lot of newer collectors overextend themselves and get burned/burnt out. Take it slow, do some research, and have fun!

Thanks for the post! I wish Walmart had better measures to keep people from returning broken sets. I had resealed packs from Walmart before the boom. :-/

I'm new to Pokemon. Started off playing Pokemon Go and now interested in the cards. What's worth collecting? Moreso for value and some gameplay, but more collecting.

All the Walmart's near me only sell them 1 pack per individual, no whole box sales Frown

I had several reps at the service counter tell me that is the current store policy with selling these. And all of the stock is kept behind the service counter to enforce it Frown

Not sure why this is here. Comes in stock like every other day at big box stores and hobby shops alike.

The bigger news is that Vivid Voltage booster boxes seem to have had another print run.

also, if you're just in it to open packs, booster boxes tend to give you the best cost per pack.
$110 for 36 packs ($3.06/pack)
https://www.gamenerdz.com/pokemon...ooster-box

(trainer boxes you only get 8 packs for the MSRP $40, so $5 per pack)
