Playseat Gaming Chair Challenge Black

Also available;

Playseat Evolution Gaming Chair in black $255.99 at WOOT.

Both appear? (Not sure) to come with a Playseat mat? Not sure if that's true or not, but it sort of looks that way.

I bought this from Amazon late last year for $190. The build and quality is very good. Put on the G29 steering wheel and played racing game on my PC.

I think it's worth $200 for this chair. It has the portability that I was looking for, instead of the other playseat which is full build chair. It can be folded up, with the steering wheel mounted.

If you are in the market for racing driving games, a few things to consider:
1. This set does not have the extension for the gear shift if your wheel set has one. You will need to figure out how to add that on.
2. Many racing games does not support steering wheel full. It means that it does not translate what the steer wheel/pedal well into the game and would cause a lot of underated/oversteer/spin off.
3. If playing on PC, make sure you have the right graphic card to support the game.

For me, I think my setup was good enough to play just a few titles and get something out of it. And I can easily bring it out, after storing, to play just a few games.
It must suck having no hobbies
I own this seat. It's actually pretty comfortable, albeit I'm not the biggest guy at 5'11 and 185 lbs.

One point to share is I cracked my tailbone in this thing the first day I had it. DO NOT UNDO ANY OF THE STRAPS WHILE IN THE SEAT.

I had a velcro strap rubbing so I went to pull it out of the way and it completely collapsed. Completely my fault and not the chairs but it's something I warn new owners about since it took about 7 months for my tailbone to stop hurting.

Great deal, besides a YMMV B&M Microcenter sale for $170 a few years ago this is an all time low for this chair brand new.

Got the driving frame for $70 during prime day. I just use my regular chair for it.

I like this chair for apartment living. I was able to secure a TH8A shifter to it with a few ball mounts and socket arms.

It was 20% off on prime day. I still would get it at the current price.

Absolutely love this chair, way less bulky and storage friendly than their Evolution line, and the alcantara material is extremely comfy. And if you don't use it you can fold it like a lawn chair and store it away, with the gaming wheel and pedals attached.

I have this chair. It's really comfy and t300 fits great. Folds with wheel attached. And most important, wife approved.

I've tried something like that, it works and is cool, but would probably recommend trying the omega brand ones. These weren't as stiff as I wanted them to be. Still it's better than nothing.

My experience is that actual racing seats and five point harnesses aren't especially comfortable either, except maybe if you go custom molded. I've never thought of comfort as being a priority for a system like this so much as fit and stability.

My bigger concern is that the seating position for this seems ill suited for single seaters and prototypes. In this more upright position I'd be looking for a good place to mount a shifter (and potentially hand brake depending on the series).
