Also, resolution and brightness (whether falsified or accurate) are not the only metrics that determine a good image.
If you can point me to a ~$100 projector that is 1080p+ native and has more than 2500 lumens according to the ANSI or ISO 21118 standard, I'll eat my words and consider buying you a beverage. Otherwise, please stop trolling.

I also got the shipping info right after I was done with the whining here. 😁
I received my Epson refurbished 2150 today. It has zero lamp hours. 😊
BTW, I'm impressed by the picture quality. Coming from "8500L" projector, I can see huge differences in picture quality, focus, and quality in general.

How is the manual focus as well?
I'm assuming the 'auto focus' variety are in a much more expensive price range ...
However, you're will lose much of the 'crispness' with even one step of Keystone due to the averaging of pixels across the light engine. You should try to avoid this at all costs IF you're really trying to get a non-casual experience, or maybe critical viewing. Max out your lens shift and see if that gets you to a place where you can mount the projector.

Thank you!
Great 1080p projector for rooms that are not light controlled, it's a light cannon. I've noticed you get some flickering before the lamp fully goes out so you'll replace them more frequently however the lamps are much cheaper than any other projector I've seen ($59 shipped from Epson) They go out of stock fairly regularly so keep one on hand... It's even acceptable for casual FPS gaming (for a projector) bought it for $700 new 2 yrs ago and have no regrets.
I usually have to keep the room fairly dark else the colors are washed out. I would say that one wouldn't be able to enjoy the viewing experience in a will lite room. I found it annoying even when sunlight was seeping in from the sides of the curtains and onto the viewing area (wall.) Because I have ill-fitting curtains, I would usually wait until after 7:30PM at night to be able to use the project and enjoy the experience. If your room has soft white light bulbs, the viewing experience will be better vs. sunlight but any light really causes a wash out effect (light from another room, etc...)

I agree that it feels like a warm fan / blowdryer. I ended up using regular brightness / eco mode and its noticeably less in terms of sound and heat, but nonetheless compared to my Vankyo (yes I know comparably it is crap but $86 bucks was a good deal for what it is haha) it is much hotter (and brighter).
By the way are you projecting on a wall or a screen? My wall seems fine but I was considering getting a white or silver screen if that helps boost colors / brightness at all. (Plenty bright and vibrant colors already).
