What I do is put out Victor M380 fly traps on the back corners of my property line and by my trash bins. Because of it, I see very few flies near my patio or in the house.

I have this but I prefer the non "dry" liquid stuff. This shoots out like a powder and makes a cloud that lingers making it quite unpleasant to breathe for a while especially indoors.
