OVERVIEW
The DEWALT split point drill bit is designed to prevent problems before they happen, so you can concentrate on the job. The 135Ð split point drills on contact, so you never have to worry about a walking bit ruining your work. Titanium coating for maximum life
Pilot Pt tip design starts on contact and eliminates bit walking
Maximum speed and life in stainless steel and other hard metals
Ideal for drilling in stainless steel or other hard metals

People actually buy single drill bits? That's like buying one egg.

I buy a lot of single bits, just not garbage Dewalt Bits lol.

There's 2 types of bits imo... low quality/cost, and high quality/cost. If it's not one, it's the other.

Now, a set is great for low quality, low price bits (like the Harbor Freight $8 set thats only slightly lower quality than the Dewalt's). Even so, the chances of using even half the bits in the set are rare.

The bits I buy can cost anywhere from $10 to 50 each, so it's better than spending a lot more on a set that has bits I'll never need or use. So I buy higher quality singles on more commonly used sizes. So I'd rather spend $40 on a Famag than $0.79 on a Dewalt for the more used sizes.

Btw... if you have any kids, you've spent way more on one egg, than the price of a dozen chicken eggs. Lol

Tbh, they're about the same quality.

Next time harbor freight has a sale, buy this set for $8 to $10 https://www.harborfreight.com/tit...61637.html
They're as good as most low tier bits. I use them for when I'm putting holes that might be more damaging, or cause more wear to my higher quality bits.

Then, as you move further into creating, you can buy single bits of more commonly used sizes, that are much better quality. 😉

By the same logic, I can get 25 of these drill bits for $20 which is still less than the cost of 1 of your expensive bits.

I've drilled so many holes in metal with this linked HF set and the bits are still as sharp as when u bought them. Could use a sharpening but for the $10 I spent on them, I'm totally not upset with the purchase.

Can you suggest drill bits for concrete/bricks? Thanks!

Appreciate the explanation and not sure why you're getting downvotes for logical sense.

Mind I ask for all the others who grab a "I got a real project" flat cart and park with the contractors, what higher price point bits do you recommend?
