Not the exact same model but not majorly different.

Seem like the conclusion is, the 165Hz display is really good and gets plenty bright close to 400nits. The battery life is good as well. The processor (5900Hx) thermal throttles at high loads, and performance in general is underwhelming compared to other laptops with similar specs. Obviously, the cooling on this model is not as good as everyone thought.

Could probably use Ryzen Controller to help Temperature limit an TDP limit on the CPU.

The r5 doesn't have the vapor chamber like the other Alienware models. This is basically the g series with Alienware casing and less ventilation.

Did they fix their thermal issues yet? I don't think I'll ever trust another Alienware.

Good deal on an Alienware for sure, but a SSD HD that's only the size of a $30 Samsung micro SD card?

I think they're pretty different so choose what fits your needs.
