Don't do it. I bought the woot deal last week and got it a couple days later. Used the phone as my daily driver (upgrading from my OnePlus 6) for 5 days and it performed abysmally. To say it's bad is an understatement. Despite everything I read about screens staying black, camera being poor, phone switching perspectives incorrectly I still thought it would be worth it for $410. I was wrong. It isn't worth $99. Don't be like me. It's now on a return route back to woot. Avoid at all costs.

I on the other hand have been loving the phone. i have a Note 20 ultra that was my daily driver and it has not been touched in like 5 days now. Yes, there are a hundred odd bugs and random app crashes and keyboard going missing. But, after 14 years of using cell phones, for the first time I kinda love a form factor. i have been a Note fan ever since Note 2, and I've also used iphones for a year or two. I had even bought few Amazon fire phones when it was on sale.
Camera on this phone is the slowest and weakest thing. 6 gb of Ram is another pain point. I am definitely not regretting spending $400 on this, but $200 would be an even sweeter deal.
I would avoid these. This is a product that was developed too early, sat on the shelf for a while, they added some engineering patches once tech caught up to ambition, and as a result it was already aged on release. Will probably see this in the $200 range as carriers try to dump them in the future. We're an MS Gold Partner and received a couple of sample units. The form factor is ridiculous- it's kind of like trying to use an iPad Mini as a phone (not QUITE that large but close).
I had the fire phone and the surface duo and the fire phone is a better phone overall.
As a phone, yes the firephone is great. The screen, build quality, 3d cameras, specs were outta the park. As a tablet though, the Duo is the obvious choice.
