How does this compare against the Honda single stage gas thrower?
50% worse?

Thanks OP, in for 1! Time to retire the old Toro plug in blower! The batteries alone make it worth it (I have other Ego products)

Looks like 90 day Woot warranty, but if I click on the details, it shows this:

"If a product sold by Woot comes with a warranty, the warranty will be listed in the product details. A manufacturer or third-party warranty supersedes a Woot warranty in all cases when a manufacturer or third-party warranty is available, so if you are seeking warranty coverage please make sure you're pestering the right people. If the product is covered under a manufacturer or third-party warranty, you can find their contact information in the product details under "Warranty". If you are unable to find the contact information, please feel free to get in touch with Woot Customer Service for assistance."

I charged it on Amex so it'll double the warranty. But if it's 90 days, probably won't help me much.

90 days.... which means you'll have no warranty by the time you need to use it.

I can't decide if this is a deal breaker or not since it's so much cheaper. It's electric, so it also is either gonna work, or you'll have tons of problems or shear pin issues.

I personally am on the fence just because i wonder if i should spend four times the amount and just get a two stage blower. But i also don't expect needing to get out of my house in the snow (can always work from home)

Probably not - ego is a stickler for "authorized retailers" and i don't think Woot is authorized.

Owned this for two winters. It's a great unit, comparable to a single stage has option. Easy start, great for a small to midsize driveway. Just set your expectation - Do not expect to clear out 5-6"+ inches of heavy snow or the end of the driveway where the snowplow compacts everything.

I ended up inheriting an Ariens 24" gas model, and I use both throughout the winter. The Ariens does the heavy snowfalls, the ego does everything else.

I got this 2 years ago and have been super impressed.
I try to clear a couple of times during the snow when I can, it breezes though 4" or less and works well for up to 6" of snow on the 2 car driveway here in MN. Slush, ice and the snow boulders at the end of the driveway take a little more muscle and time.
The newer ones have more of an auger
