I have used this stuff for years without a problem. I use it as a Perimeter spray, and also spray & it kills bugs on contact. I haven't bought any since Pre-covid, so no idea if they have diluted the strength. I use on every bug I see, Thief ants, small ants, Carpenter ants & bees. I spray the perimeter of my house, garage & shed. Usually 2x a year in the Spring/early summer. I also cut away any growth/plants from the house so ants do not have a path other then from the foundation. Bifen listed as .05% by weight, Zeta-Cyper listed as .0125 %
Can you reconfirm what brand you buy for how much thanks
Don't use borax and sugar or buy Tello why? Let me put it this way - ants are very smart way smarter than today's smartphone infested google geeks they simply move out and when borax disappears after couple months they come back strong, then talk about buying Bifen everyone is become chemist as if they know what they are doing, I hired a professional and I have 0 I repeat zero insects all of them gone I get it done once a year pay $200 and try not to save like hoarders you find them in slickdeals
I have Taurus SC now and Bifen before this. I think Bifen is more effective and I will be getting Bifen hereafter.
Taurus is more for ants and is slower acting so it spreads and kills the whole colony. One application of that and I'm ant free for 8+ months. Bifen is good for other insects, esp. mosquitoes, and is faster acting, but you usually have to reapply it every month. So to me, they are both good, for different uses.

The place where i live are charging minimum 800 year which is definitely too much.
Mix together boiling water, sugar, and Borax. It will make a paste, or like a gel substance. Put the substance onto small pieces of paper near their trail in your house (or wherever you see them). After a few days they will all congregate around it, eating it and taking it back to the queen.
I don't remember the ratios of water to sugar to Borax but you can Google it. This method has personally worked wonders for me.
Also known as Terro. If you don't feel like cooking it up yourself and want to buy it. Just be warned it starts with them flooding the traps, so be prepared.

Not sure where y'all live but I just use the ortho stuff that smells like ass. The workers carry it to the queen. She dies and the rest wander off without her direction.
For outside use , I have found a quarterly application of Taurus SC to work best on ants/roaches. Seems to last longer sprayed vertically up the house and and deck. Not an immediate kill, the infected insect spreads it to the colony. A+
i'm honestly surprised at all the variance of success beings shared.
this product works great for us. we've used it for years, deploying it a couple times in the summer (perimeter sprayed on foundation outside of house) in a geographic area that is humid / can be rainy.
even a local exterminator said it's the same chemical of some of his solutions he uses.
that said, i'll check out this telstar solution as well. thanks.
Same here stuff works inside have used it for years.

I always use this cheap stuff, and it hands down works. Seriously, spray every 3 months and my home is always bug free...and I live in a heavily bug infested area.
This works surprising well in areas that aren't exposed to the elements. You also must ensure that you are actually creating a barrier which cannot be easily circumvented.
I use this around the exterior foundation of my home along with a bag of insecticide spread to create a barrier, but I've found that you have to regularly reapply this liquid after a good rain to any exposed areas. The combo works well.
Home Depot sells a concentrate (hot shot?), works for months on perimeter, $10ish, get about a gallon & a half out of it.

I just went on eBay and did a quick search for Bifen XTS Insecticide. Just make sure the active ingredient is Bifenthrin at a 25.1%.
