About this deal:
My price research indicates that Fossil Men's 42mm FS5614 Watch (silver/blue stripe) is $30 lower(54.5% savings) than the next best deal from a reputable merchant at the time of posting.
Lol at you guys saying that Fossils are unreliable. I have Fossils that are over 15 years old that still work fine.
Those are hideous, and I love all sorts of Fossil watches. The website has a couple of Fossil ladies watches which are a bit more traditionally attractive (though a bit more expensive, and the coupon doesn't work with them). But I wouldn't wear the two above, or give them to anyone I love, lol.
Who gives af what other people think? If someone likes something, let them enjoy it. Not for me personally, but if someone likes it, good for them. Gtfoh with that pretentious bs.

Yeah but if someone who knows about watches sees you wearing it can figure out real quick you're pretty cheap and don't know what you're buying.
I do watch repair. Sorry, but I don't qualify people based on their watch. If I did, I'd probably lose a lot of business that way. Fossils have their place. Some are decent. Some have flaws. They're personally not my favorite. But, fashion watches are exactly that....fashion. A solid case, Japanese quartz, etc are pretty reliable no matter what brand it putting it together.
You can find bands pretty much everywhere; Amazon and eBay for cheap or mid stuff maybe, or you can find specialized watch selling sites that can range from cheap, mid, and higher, to specialized strap maker sites that can go 150 for handmade leather straps.
Have to laugh at all the successful losers who showed up to crap on a $25 orange Fossil watch..
If your watch projects more wealth than your actual investments, you are doing it wrong.
I totally like a nice watch. I can appreciate the need to show your success in a boardroom or with a client.
But, I don't see the need to make people looking for a $25 watch think they need an Omega.
When I was 20 I thought stuff like this mattered. Really I should have been buying Class B Berkshire stock with that watch money.

What a wise comment.
Not being sarcastic. I shouldn't have to explain that, but people are so toxic in Slickdeals for some reason.

It's the same issue when something of high value is posted. You get all the low budget people crying about it. (Example: dyson products). At the end of the day it's a public forum, if someone wants to call this watch cheap or a Rolex too expensive, that's their opinion. People will always have a difference in the value they place on items so I don't understand why people get all bent out of shape when others express their opinions.
I like the look just fine. "Peacocking" is the term.
As for fossil quality I think it's mediocre. The last one I had lasted me about 3 years. I think I still have the watchband for it which looks like it'll fit.
From what I hear, 3 years is pretty average for a watch, if you're rough on it. At $25 I think this is a good value. If I get 3 years out of it that's what, $8.** per year? A replacement watch band alone will run you 8 bucks easy and rubber is probably ideal for people who are tough on their watches. I wouldn't really call Fossil a "fashion watch". I think of fashion watches as some real real cheap garbage, which Fossil is not. It's a reasonable watch brand, nothing more, nothing less.
