Proprietary connector means other fans cannot be added to the hub and these fans can't be used on another system without the hub. If these were standard argb/fan power connections this would be a much better deal.

Thanks for this. I was wondering about the connection.

There is a positive side to these proprietary connections, from what I experienced. A standard ARGB fan will instead have 2 separate cables instead, one for the ARGB and another for the Fan power (and speed). Wiring management is, IMO, the worst part of building a rig.
Also, if the motherboard you are using does not have enough ARGB headers, then you will probably have to purchase and use and ARGB splitter for additonal ARGB fans.
So, a single cable from each ARGB fan and an centralized hub, just helps keep the installation simpler.
But do also note, and this maybe not specifically applies for this kit, is that in most hub setup, the fans speed cannot be controlled individually.

I have rosewill case comes with 4 argb fans (didn't do enough homework before buying). Can't have 4 fans running at the same time because the noise is unbearable. Swapped 3 with PWM ones and only kept one rosewill fan.

Save your money and buy a few Noctua fans and a few led strips or led fan covers. They will last for many computer builds and will be something that you can always depend on. Not to mention they are very quiet and have some of the best airflow metrics in the industry.

Considering Rosewill doesn't manufacturer anything they just rebrand I doubt it.
