Metal chopsticks are actually more healthier and safer than other choices because most chopsticks made in wood or bamboo will start to absorb all kind of craps after a period of time of usage while metal will not and much easier to clean.
Bamboo and single use chopsticks are fine too, but wasteful IMO. Bamboo ones probably look nicer. Having used both I don't find any significant difference in comfort.
You wanna save the planet? Buy stuff that lasts.
I have stainless, fiberglass, several polyurethane coated wooden ones, jade, and acrylic and all in all, my go to chopsticks are some upgraded disposable bamboo ones I have a case of.
