My AirPod pro's are extremely frustrating and definitely not the benchmark for mic and voice calls. The problem is that the performance is inconsistent. During the same call it will go from great to complete crap. That inconsistency makes it a poor choice. The best review statement is that they are imperfectly perfect. Great on paper but ymmv.
I have dozens of headsets and the jabra win for tws voice conversations in a quiet location. None of the tws are good in a noisy location ( compared to better sets. ). The airpod pros are great for range. Audio quality is above average but again not the best. They also ( for me ) will fall out after a while even when i am passively sitting at my desk. All in all these are my least favorite tws earbuds. Definitely not worth the $250 i paid nor even the $170 price a short while ago. I have not found any tws earbud that does everything well ( range, audio quality, mic, noise cancelling, consistent performance, battery life, mic ).

IMO Airpods 2 have better and consistent call quality than Airpods pro. There is a long list of reddit threads about call quality complaints with Airpods pro, however no issues with the regular airpods. Reason for that could be related to the shorter stem on airpods pro, whereas the airpods 2 have longer stems so the mic at the tip of the stem extends a bit allowing for better capture of voices. Regarding the sound quality, once you attach the third-party airpods eartips to the regular airpods it sounds exactly same as the expensive airpods pro, not even 1% difference in sound quality. I don't think I'd be tempted til they're like $150. The Lypertek Tevis I have are passable.
