This CPU is amazing. I can undervolt it to run @ 4.5 on all cores. How is that even possible AMD?

Good luck getting any Intel cpu to do that that won't turn your PC into a heater.

11400 if youre not on AM4 is is going to be your best bet $180 and higher performance. AMD is too eager to sell higher margin CPUs than low margin ones.

Also if youre looking to buy a high end Zen 3 CPU, probably wait another 2 months as Intel will outperform it, giving you that option, or at least causing AMD to finally cut prices

Yup for sure, the cpu market looking a lot better. Choices from both camps.

Ryzen r9 5900x, i5 11400 and r5 3600 are my 2 recommendations.

I suspected that the AMD cpu shortage was fake to drive eagerness and sales. It's as if they trickled them out in the order of which we're most profitable. 5800x, 5600x, 5950x and then 5900x in that order.

yes, and COVID vaccines make us sterile, modify our DNA and implant trackers into our system...

let's get back to reality. AMD has lost a ton of time and sales. the 5000 series has had such little shelf life now that the next-gen AMD is about to come out. I almost decided to wait it out for next-gen as that will take advantage of DDR5 and other new technologies and will require a new socket/mb.

yeah, i guess it depends on perspective. I currently have the 3900X. I wanted to buy the 5900x last year. If COVID had never happened, I would've had at least 2 years of owning the 5900x before the next gen. Now I'm going to have it less than a year.

And I won't be able to just drop in the next-gen CPU. I'm going to need a new motherboard, new RAM, etc.
