You can check the Dell Product spec for this laptop and the good news is that the CPU is configured to 35W TDP, not like the downscaled 15W TDP in the 14" model.

Actually not really for normal usage as it can work on normal TDP. In case of demanding works, it can perform better than the normal 15W-28W variants, both CPU and GPU performance but will drain battery quicker. If you're using plugged in, that extra performance boost is a advantage.

LCD is WVA instead of IPS according to Dell website.

CPU underperforms to Ryzen 5500U in Inspiron 5515 model. Inspiron 5515 was $500 for 8/256 config. This deal is good if you like Intel. But this PC will be slower and hotter than 5515.

IPS is an LG exclusive trademark. WVA usually indicates an IPS like panel (Wide Viewing Angle). Most laptops come with panels from multiple manufacturers, so they can't give the specific name for the panel type.

That is just an IPS panel which is not from LG-Philips or any panel not using their technology. IPS name is trademark of them and any other IPS panel from manufacturers like AU Optronics, Samsung, technically can't use the term IPS.
It's funny to see this exact posts in almost every Dell Laptop threads.
