Nice, I haven't had a glove for a long time, but my son is getting older so I guess I'll need one. It's our birthdays this weekend, got one for me and a youth T-ball one for him, good timing OP.

Any thoughts on a 13 year old playing outfield baseball with this glove? Seems like most charts call for 12.5 or 12.75 until they reach adult age then 13". I worry the pocket may be too large and he'll drop the ball, thanks.

My son just turned 13 and is on the small size, he had a 12 inch glove and then "borrowed" my glove from high school (no clue what length it was, but it was definitely longer than the 12) at the end of the season the threading let go and he was really annoyed to go back down. Your so should be fine, and if it's a bit big, save it for next year.

FYI...If the leather was still good and assuming the glove is still worth something, you can get the glove re-threaded.

A re-string kit with the tool is about 8 bucks and youtube has videos showing how to re-string almost any glove.

FWIW 13 inch is a little small for adult slow pitch softball.

Depends on preference. I use a 12 inch baseball infielders glove for slowpitch softball. I wouldn't want bigger for myself. 13 sounds enormous to me.
