Good find, but may want to add YMMV in the title. Seems like Home Depot has a lot of Makita on clearance lately, anyone know why?

Its literally the first thing I typed in the description. I recommend you read the description again. This Hammer drill is the Brushless Makita that is being replaced with their new one.

Makita upgraded their 18 volt tool line (x-lock & Brushless tools) and introduced their 40 volt & 80 volt line of tools to the US. That is why you have seen these good deals. The 36 volt Makita Circular Saw is being replaced by the 40 volt (1 battery instead of the 36 volt 2- battery platform). Its mean more deals for us.

OOS everywhere around here. Too bad, this is a beast of a drill. This was their top of the line model for a long time.
