Edit: Why does Dewalt not have a better, non-atomic, version of this? Dang, Dewalt!!! Quit Slippin!!!

However the size and weight really isn't that different or worth it for most applications/people.
For example, I think the atomic drill/driver is 1/2 inch shorter and 1/2 a pound lighter. Is that worth sacrificing power for it?
Now there may be some specific Atomic tools that may be worth it. I think this may be one, since the specific purpose is to have a small light-weight circular saw if you don't need to lug around a "full sized" circular saw.
Nothing wrong with the Dewalt Atomic line of tools. It's DeWalt's mid-grade Brushless line of tools. The XR DeWalt power tools are geared more for the professionals with more power and options. I love the Dewalt Atomic Circular Saw.

So much info given to back your statement.
I have this atomic circular saw and it is light and powerful enough for any house projects.

Realize the max depth of the cut is only about 1 1/2", where most concrete is at least 4" thick. It may be best for cutting some control joints in concrete on a small scale, but a 6 1/2" or 7 1/2" saw would allow more lengthy cuts.
This saw will cut concrete, but only 1 1/2" deep, and it's best done only with a decent segmented diamond blade. Abrasive blades will work, but they wear fast and are extremely dusty.
The only thing that 'wears out' power tools in concrete cutting is (1) abrasive concrete dust entering the tool's vents and (2) the operator feeding it too fast or overheating the blade. (Number 1 can be mostly remedied by using a vacuum on the dust port or wet sawing).
