I play the first gen 0211 and hit the first gen 0311. The 0211 just fit me better. It actually has better tech then their first 0311. The fitting is a good experience.

Talking to the master fitter some people will put the 0311 p as their shorter irons and then switch to the 0311 xf on the longer irons. To get a little more forgiveness.

Also is a bit of stigma that comes with Pxg in your bag. But you'll learn to get over it. The people who make those comments are usually never one to give a second thought.

To me there clubs are very ping like in looks and feel. If I recall correctly their lead club designers were ex ping employees which would make sense.

Okay I'll be quite now Smilie
If you spent 349 on the Gen 2s yesterday, there is a mistake. They have been on sale for over a month.
I've tried the 0311P with the Steelfiber i95 shaft and wow, great club! Getting fitted is a must but I can tell you those steelfiber shafts are the way!!

If you qualify for the Heroes program, they are only $79 per club.

Graphite or Steel shafts. Custom lie, loft and length included.

They have been on sale for the whole month of April. My guess it that they will stay at this price till they sell out. This is their older generation and probably won't be restocked. Still a very good deal for the price and the customization you can get.

They've been that price for a while. Schedule a fitting ASAP and they should be able to fill the order. Also hit the Gen3 because they were much better for me (better ball speed, launch/decent angle and spin) than the gen2.

Do whatever you want, I'm just saying. If you are going to pay the $50 for a fitting through pxg, why not hit them? Just because the gen2 are cheaper, doesn't mean they are better. They were a full club shorter than my current fitted clubs.

Also hit the 0211 as well. They are stronger lofts, but worth a try.

Yup, people will give you looks and make dumb comments. PXG isn't the same company as it was when the gen1 came out with $800 drivers.

They did have a few of the Ping guys come over, and they are based in the same area.

Agree that the sets blend well together. Just consider lofts when mixing sets. It's always good to be near one of their fitting locations so you can get lofts adjusted if you have gapping issues. Really any good shop will be able to do it, but pxg will most likely do it for free.

They also have mobile fittings in the areas that don't have local stores. They have a van with everything needed and a Trackman.
