Why is that?

It just seems like the harassment from locals that approach you to buy junk has increased exponentially to the point that you can't really enjoy yourself. Yes you can avoid most of that if you stay in an exclusive resort but then you are away from all the cool bars and restaurants. Plus I'm not a fan of the beaches all smelling like jet fuel from the tons of boats and jet skis.

Rental cars are a major issue in most places. I have looked at Hawaii repeatedly and for one week's rentals cars cost above $1000. Out of the question. Elsewhere, my cousin was able to get a rental from one of the major companies but the car was a beat up, dinged up, smelly, rickety piece of crap with bald tires. He had engine trouble and called the manager to complain. He said "did you just buy this junker from a used car lot?" and he said "yes, the company sold our cars during covid and we had go get used cars." Except the used cars they're getting are much more used than car rental company used cars.

It's free for most airlines on the upgraded classes. You better check your ticket. Even JetBlue just started charging for carry-ons on their Basic Economy starting April 1st (no, it wasn't a joke).

I'm flying American later this month and it's free, economy or main cabin.

You could still fly during covid. People were only quarantined if you allowed the government to control your life.

I had covid in Feb 2020. I got my vaccine in Feb 2021.

I wore a mask during this entire time. As of July 1st, no more face diaper for me. There is zero science behind it.

Then I hope you get the Delta variant and die with it. You're not only risking your life but also others. If you don't believe in science then you should go to hell because hell is not science.

It's their new scam just like gas prices from the interstate..U get to the pump and you find out to get that price you have to pay cash. Airlines trick people into booking flights at a ridiculously low price and then charge 30 to $70 for your carry-on(each way) and some charge for checked baggage as well. the only thing they don't charge for these days is your personal item which is the size of a backpack

And don't forget having to pay extra for seats too.
