My father passed away and I wanted to find a way to export all of my text messages with him. This was the only way I could figure it out, and it worked wonderfully. I thought the app seemed finicky before buying it but I thought it was worth a try. When I installed it, it worked great. I had one small issue and their support replied right away. Well worth it for me just for the text message export feature alone. Haven't tried the rest of the stuff.

I got burned by one of these social/deal sites in the past, I couldn't install the software again on a replacement computer, there was a time limit.

Is this another one of those?

I paid $14.99 for this about 3 months ago. It is good, but the version I got is only good for 4 devices. As we have six in our house, I am often doing a juggling act removing and adding devices so everyone can use it with their device. Maybe this one lets you use more devices.

Anyway, it works quite well for moving photos, music and videos from PC to devices and vice versa. I use it often to avoid having to constantly clean out free icloud storage which fills up quickly.

It's my understanding that apps and data is sandbox'ed in iOS. It appears to me that with android, non root can access all apps data.

If app devs use weak encryption, or the keys have been obtained/cracked, all one needs is to send encrypted files to some destination, decrypt, access your nude pics or private conversations in Facebook DMs (for example).

Malware masquerading as something legit/useful (on android App Store, Google it, it seems there is a new story every quarter about dozens of apps found to be malware). They can send whatever they can access on your device to any destination resource the malware managers have arranged to receive files. I used to read publicly available write-ups, I don't anymore, I'm sure Google can lead you to some results.

Not to say iOS is perfect, based on the sum of past behavior, it seems that one company puts forth more effort.

But this thread is about the software, I don't plan on replying more with side topics.

I tried the code ANNUAL40 under the "Coupon Code" field on the Checkout page, but it says "Cannot use coupon with the items in your cart."
Edit: Nevermind, I had a space. I found ANNUAL30 is a valid coupon too.

You can use this to sideload iOS apps that aren't in the iOS store onto an M1 computer.
