Anyway, it works quite well for moving photos, music and videos from PC to devices and vice versa. I use it often to avoid having to constantly clean out free icloud storage which fills up quickly.

If app devs use weak encryption, or the keys have been obtained/cracked, all one needs is to send encrypted files to some destination, decrypt, access your nude pics or private conversations in Facebook DMs (for example).

Not to say iOS is perfect, based on the sum of past behavior, it seems that one company puts forth more effort.
But this thread is about the software, I don't plan on replying more with side topics.
